摘要:: 《平凡的世界》是一部反映上个世纪70年代中期到80年代中期黄土地民众生活图景的长篇巨著。小说之所以能够受到不同年代、不同年龄段读者的喜爱,根源在于作者笔下的人物既体现出了他们作为普通的“人”而具有的本性,又体现出了在一定的文化规约下他们所具有的文化认知特点。作品所呈现的思想与受这种文化影响下读者的思想处于同一认知层次,因而也就使得作品能够历久弥新。

Abstract:: Lu Yao’s Pingfande shijie平凡的世界(Ordinary World)is an opus depicting the life of people living on the Huangtu plateau in the northwestern region of China from the mid 1970s to the mid 1980s. The reason why this novel is well accepted by readers of different ages in different times is that the nature of the common people and the features of their cultural awareness determined by the cultural norms are both best shown by the characterization of the novel. The novel gains a timeless quality because its readers feel great affinity with its understanding of the culture.
