王国维《人间词话》对姜夔、周邦彦、吴文英的批评,与其建构以五代北宋词为典范的境界说密切相关。但王国维的这一初衷在20世纪三四十年代的学术史中,被朱光潜、唐圭璋等为代表的学者所忽略,而吴征铸则是少数能从清代词学的发展轨迹来体察其用心的学者之一。王国维的词学从破晚清模拟、雕琢的词风中建立起来,故极具反叛性,这种反叛特性与后来以胡适为代表的新文化运动的理论不谋而合,王国维因此而在新文学中被视为重要的奠基人物。他的创作也大体呼应着理论,用普泛性的哲学之思与五代北宋词的自然神妙相结合,开创出填词之新途。其价值值得充
Abstract:
Wang Guowei commented much on such ci poets in his Ren Jian Ci Hua(Poetic Remarks in the Human World)as Jiang Kui, Zhou Bangyan and Wu Wengying. Wang’s criticism of these poets is closely related with his artistic conception of ci poetry, which regards works in the Five Dynasties and Northern Song Dynasty as the model of ci poetry. But the original intention of Wang was ignored by most scholars represented by Zhu Guangqian and Tang Guizhang in the 1930s and 1940s. However, Wu Zhengzhu was one of the minorities who tried to understand Wang’s purpose in terms of the development of ci poetry in the Qing Dynasty. Wang Guowei’s theory intends to divert the creation of ci poems from deliberate simulation and decoration, hence being revolutionary in this sense. His revolutionary ideas are actually in agreement with the theories proposed by the New Culture Movement scholars represented by Hu Shi. Therefore, Wang was regarded as a pioneer of the new literature movement. In addition, his literary practice is basically in line with his theory, which connects the universal philosophical principles with the natural taste and spirit embodied by the ci poetry of the Five Dynasties and Northern Song Dynasty and explores a new approach to ci poetry creation. Wang’s contribution thus requires understanding from a new perspective.
