Abstract:: “Fundamental Building” is an integral component of the party building of the Communist Party of China(CPC), holding a unique position and exerting significant influence. Since the beginning of the reform and opening-up policy, the concept of “Fundamental Building” within the CPC has evolved from “institutional construction as the fundamental building of the Party” to “enhancing governance capacity and vanguard nature as the fundamental building of the Party”, and further to “ideological and theoretical construction as the fundamental building of the Party”, and most recently to “political construction as the fundamental building of the Party”. This historical evolution process is an inherent requirement of the development of Marxist party-building theory with Chinese characteristics. It stems from the objective necessity of addressing practical party-building issues and is a necessary choice for the Party to effectively respond to various risks and challenges. The dynamic development and historical evolution of the Party's “Fundamental Building” teach us that as we comprehensively advance the Party's new major project of development and enhance the quality of party building, we must firmly grasp the “key link” of the Party's fundamental building. We should actively refine and create distinctive new concepts and discourse, continually improve the overall layout of party building in accordance with the development of the times.
