Abstract:
China's colleges and universities, where the non-Party member intellectuals are an important part of the talent team, have always been an important area of the CPC's united front work. The united front work targeting the non-Party member intellectuals in colleges and universities plays an important role in the overall work of each institute, which constitutes the basic and strategic part of the Party's united front work. The united front work in these institutes should actively guide the non-Party member intellectuals to start businesses based on their own work, and focus on the central work of the school. As a place characterized by a concentration of non-Party member intellectuals, colleges and universities are not only the cradle for talent growth, but also an important source for the United Front to cultivate and select non-Party member representatives. Based on its mission, the united front work in this area should help non-Party member intellectuals enhance their sense of public responsibility. Facing the new situation, new tasks and new requirements, the focus of the work in this area should be placed upon how to better lead non-Party member intellectuals to promote the high-quality development of education and constantly innovate the work ideas and methods. In order to achieve this goal, first of all, we should adhere to and strengthen the work of the united front and lead non-Party member intellectuals in colleges and universities to foster virtue and cultivate talents in their daily work. At the same time, keeping the great united front work pattern in vision, non-Party member intellectuals should work together to help serve the society through scientific and technological innovation. In addition, the united front work in colleges and universities should focus on the cultivation and selection of non-Party member intellectuals who can play a leading role in better serving the high-quality development of education.
