Abstract:
Social space is a social product. A relative surplus of space products will give rise to economic crisis. The triad of social space comprises spatial practice, representations of space and representational space. However, the third realm or component of the triad is not the result of simply combining the first two, but an open alternative based on deconstructing and reconstructing their assumed integrity. Social space has a complicated system of symbols, the triad of which is similar to that of semiotics: the signifier, signified and signification. The body, as the subject of the production of social space, is where the production starts. An alienated body is controlled by the triad of state power, code and knowledge. Only in differential space of socialism can the body be liberated completely. At present, the global economic crisis is essentially the crisis of urbanization, and China is in its initial phase.
