摘要:

汉字创生于神话时代,是神性生活中图象意识与语言本能碰撞的灵感。汉字研究中,需要彰显神话学意识。中国神话的历史化,令汉字图象的解读失去了重要内核。顾颉刚关于“禹是一条虫”的说法,从文字学入手,却因以科学的历史学为依据,将神话学与历史学截然分开,而失去了对远古神性世界的感受。以汉字神话学说文解字,则可复原神话世界图景。汉字图象,主要来自远古对于以天象为主的对象世界的观察取法。仰观天象,需要具有特殊的先天直观能力,“神”(申)字以天幕被撕裂的图象揭示了“天文”的轨迹,而“龍”字与星座相关,却需要一种在星星之间进行虚幻的几何学连接的空间直观能力。这是神话中蕴涵的科学思维。科学与技术密切相关,也体现在汉字图象里的赛博格形象里。汉字图象的神话学探讨,为解释汉字创生的奥秘提供了另一种广阔的空间。

Abstract:

The Chinese characters, created in mythological times, were inspired by the interaction between the ancient people's image awareness and their language instinct in their divine life. Mythological thinking should thus be highlighted in the study of Chinese characters. The historicization of Chinese mythology has deprived the deciphering of Chinese characters of its core element. Gu Jiegang's conclusion that Yu禹(aka Yu the Great)was a worm was made according to his philological study, but he failed to understand the ancient mythological world because he based his argument on the scientific histography and split mythology from history. The picture of mythological world can be restored if we analyze Chinese characters from the perspective of the mythology concerning these characters. The images of Chinse characters were mainly derived from ancient astronomical observations, and it would take special instinctive intuition to analyze the astronomical phenomena. For example, the character “神” or “申”(shen)reveals the astronomical trajectory with the image of the canopy being torn apart, while the character “龍”(long)is related to the constellations, the creation of which requires a kind of intuitive spatial ability to make illusory geometric connections between the stars. The creation of such images of Chinese characters indicates a scientific thinking embedded in mythology and the close tie between science and technology can also be seen in the cyborgian images of the characters. The mythological study of the images of Chinese characters, therefore, offers a great alternative for the exploration of the origin of Chinese characters.
