摘要:
大学有多重性格,也有多种用途,但就像没有万灵药一样,也没有哪个机构是全能的。现代以降,科学和技术在经济社会发展中起到了举足轻重的作用,大学空前繁荣。这种过度的繁荣使诸多利益相关者对大学产生了不切实际的企图。伴随政府和社会对于全能大学的不断追逐,对于大学的滥用不可避免。为了满足现代社会自身的合法性诉求,大学的规模不断增大,职能不断增多,甚至于被卷入根本无法兑现的承诺。其结果,大学教育对于人性的培养被忽视,大学之所以为大学的根本职能被边缘化,大学的精神内涵日益空洞。
Abstract:
There are so many characteristics and uses of the university,yet there is no such institutionwhich can serve all purposes,just like there’s no panacea. In modern times,science and technology playan important role in economic development,leading to the unprecedented prosperity of the university. As aresult,the excessive prosperity arouses impractical attempts of different stakeholders of the university. Withthe government’s non-stopping pursuit of all-round university,the abuses of the university will be inevitable.To meet the legal appeal of modern society,the scale and the function of the university keeps increasing,eventhe university gets involved into making promises that will never be fulfilled. In the end,the goal of highereducation to cultivate humanity is neglected,the essential function of the university is marginalized,and thespirit of the university is fading away.
