Abstract:: With his grass-roots background，Sun Shaoping is an honest man characterized by rich experienceand great rationality. His altruism makes him a moral icon. He is also a man who can face various hardshipswith great perseverance and high morale. This makes him a symbol of Chinese spirit，which constitutes thesource of national confidence. Such values as diligence，dedication，and profound sense of reasonabilitydisplayed by an ordinary man，which are well accepted by young people for generations，fill the work withthe themes of the times and the spirit of tenacity. The values embodied by the image of Sun Shaoping are thecornerstone of the realization of Chinese people’s dream of national rejuvenation and individual happiness.
