摘要:: “汉字美学”是汉字学与文艺美学这两个学科的交叉综合。“汉字美学”概念的提出，是希望打破“专业”的门墙，在更高层面上恢复中国学术研究“文史哲”一体化的传统。其研究对象，是美学视阈中的“汉字”和汉字学视阈中的“文学话语”。汉字美学研究包括理论与应用这两方面的内容，其前者主要包括汉字美学的理论前提、在场背景、概念范畴体系、逻辑起点、理论观点等；后者主要包括“汉字谱系学”、“汉字图像学”、“汉字叙事学”、“汉字情感学”、“汉字的感性显现”等内容。词学核心概念证所用的“雅”、“婉”、“约”等汉字及其家族谱系，可以作为汉字美学研究的个案例证。

Abstract:: Aesthetics of Chinese characters is an interdisciplinary endeavor to bridge the gap betweenaesthetics and studies on Chinese characters. The proposal of this concept is intended to break the boundariesbetween different disciplines and to restore the tradition of Chinese academic studies characterized by theintegration of literature，history and philosophy at a higher level. This interdisciplinary attempt tries to put theChinese characters into the perspective of aesthetics and the literary discourse into the perspective of Chinesephilology in general and the studies on Chinese characters in particular. The research consists of theoreticalconstruction and applications. The former mainly includes such aspects as the theoretical premise，contextualclarification，system of conceptual categories，logical source，and theoretical views；the latter includesgenealogical，graphological，and narratological studies on Chinese characters and the exploration of theemotions embodied in the Chinese characters and their effects on human senses. Such characters indicating thecore concepts in the studies on ci poetry as ya 雅，wan 婉，and yue 约 constitute good cases in point for theaesthetics of Chinese characters.
