Abstract:
Global governance is a globally coordinated process emerging with the economic globalization since the 1980s, but its origin can be traced back to the era of capitalism. Since then, global governance has been empowered iteratively by capital, technology, and values and ideology. Consequently, global governance has never been able to move towards real coordination, resulting in the so-called “Historical Three Gorges” of global governance. In the current process of global governance transformation, China is playing a key role. However, China's participation in global governance reform and innovation is constrained by many factors. In view of this, China will lead the world in overcoming the “Historical Three Gorges” of global governance with a proposal characterized by “China attitude”, “China position”, “China path”, and “China plan”, and finally achieve the sustainable development goals of the UN “2030 agenda”.
