Abstract:
The research on “schools of future” not only contains the reflection on and the criticism of many problems in today's schools, but also shows a proactive planning for a better educational ideal and school pattern for the future. In this area, a consensus has been formed concerning the space reconstruction, technological empowerment, and personalized orientation of the development of future schools. However, there are still many controversies over such issues as how to face the uncertainty of the future, whether to move toward “de-discipline” or to reconstruct the disciplines based on the disciplinary logic, and whether to promote the retreat of “teaching” or to further strengthen the power of “teaching” in the sense of transformation. In order to guide the construction of future schools in a more rational way, the research on “schools of future” should avoid falling into such traps as “technological determinism”, “undifferentiated reform”, and social atomization.
