Abstract:
Over the past 70 years since 1949, China’s pre-school education has developed in twistsand turns, and the management of pre-school education has also undergone multiple changes. In terms ofthe management philosophy, preschool education management has shifted from implementing a passiveprevention and control to actively embracing changes and serving education. In terms of the managementsystem, there has been a historical evolution from the power centered-ness to the sharing of responsibility. In terms of the management content, there has been an overall change from a lack of planning and closedmanagement to rule-based regulation and pursuit of high quality. In terms of the management mode, therehas been a shift from centralized management to a mode characterized by multiple centers. A review of andreflection on the development of the preschool education management since 1949 reveal that the managementof preschool education in China has made the following achievements: gradually implementing the“ childcentered”educational concept; continuously strengthening the system and mechanism of“ governmentplaying a leading role”; relentlessly optimizing the management objectives of“ rule-based development”;and establishing and improving the management mode of“ hierarchical governance”
