- Abstract:
- The ecological crisis has been a serious threat to the survival and development of mankind.Combining Marx’s ecological thoughts with contemporary ecological reality，Japanese Marxist ecologicalscholar Iwasa Shigeru points out that the western capitalist society follows the logic of capital，which is themain cause for the ecological crisis. He also criticizes deeply the production mode and life style following thelogic of capital，arguing that the best way to solve environmental problems is to abandon the logic of capitaland construct a logic of life. Shigeru’s thought for the future society not only provides a correct direction forresolving the ecological crisis but also has great implications for the construction of ecological civilization inour country.
