- Lu Xun’s belief is characterized by an internal logic consisting of two related but differentcomponents. The form of belief derived from such logic has developed into a code with rich meaning in thehistorical inheritance. Since the beginning of the new period when a lot of problems concerning how to deepenthe reform have to be handled，there have been a number of arguments over Lu Xun. In essence，the outlookeach camp or class has on the orientation of social development determines its position and stance on how todecode Lu Xun’s belief system. An examination of the previous interpretations of Lu Xun’s belief system canhelp reveal the internal complexity and external significance of Lu Xun as a cultural symbol and at the sametime provide references for understanding some issues concerning the current reality.
