- Abstract:
- As a discipline, teacher education studies focuses on various issues concerning teacher education, including among others: its value-orientation, basic rules, principles and methods, policy, law, and institution construction; and possesses the characteristics of normative theory, scientific theory and practical theory. Its knowledge system can be developed from such dimensions as: “what’s teacher education”; “for what teacher education is”; and “how to make teacher education more efficient and successful”. It is a supporting subject among the different groups of disciplines in the field of teacher education, but it directly serves the purpose of cultivating qualified teacher educators.
