- Abstract:
- Ecological crisis is essentially a crisis in the relationship between man and nature, which originated from man’s increasing desire for wealth and irrational impulses since modern times. From the perspective of economic philosophy, man’s desire for wealth should be the logical presupposition of ecological crisis. Hence, economic rationality, technological rationality and irrational consumption constitute three dimensions in the reflective criticism of the pursuit of wealth. These three critical dimensions are closely related to the fact that nature has been alienated and the ecological system destroyed, leading to irreversible catastrophic consequences.
