- Abstract:
- 1987 to 1994 was an important period of change for Taiwanese cinema. Some Taiwanese movies rewrote the local history which was distorted by the government, and other works represented the confused reality. At the meantime, although the cinematic co-production was not an easy job, it has provided fresh blood for both mainland China and Taiwan, and opened a new market for each other as well.
