- Abstract:
- Power not only has a macro form represented by the state apparatus and various forms of politicalviolence, but also exists as a type of micro power in people’s daily life, social interactions, traditions andcustoms, ethical relations, words and deeds, observation of and reflection on social issues, various assembliesand the Internet medium. However,it is seldom recognized that civil rights contain such kind of micro power, which can be turned into macro power and protect civil rights in return. In particular,if we want to protect civilrights and prevent the alienation of absolute power,it is necessary for us to arouse each individual’s awarenessof rights and his will to power. By so doing, the solution to social problems will be changed from a dependenceon the exercise of macro power to a discipline enabled by the micro power. Accordingly, people can turn theirvarious practices into civil actions closely connected with civil rights through the universal power discourse, thus achieving unity between rights and power;between individual rights and collective rights;and betweenmicro power and macro power.
