- Abstract:
- As a kind of strong and invisible force, political culture has an underlying and unfailing effect on the political development. Therefore, it is essential for Russia to construct a kind of democratic political culture compatible with its transition period. In fact, since Russia opened the comprehensive transition of system after independence, its political culture has undergone fundamental changes. In Yeltsin’s era, liberalism was overemphasized and thus led to the division of political culture. In Putin’s era, authoritarianism is adopted to promote the integration of political culture, while democracy is also considered the essential part of value pursuit.
