Abstract:
The global competence is an important part of teachers’ professional quality. It includes theknowledge, ability, attitude and values needed by teachers to develop themselves in the global society andcarry out global education. Since the 1980s, with the strengthening of globalization, the United States hastaken effective measures to cultivate teachers’ global competence, such as making the global competence a partof teachers’ professional standard, integrating global education into pre-service teacher education curriculum,and developing teachers’in-service training on global education. All this has great value of reference for us todevelop teachers’ global competence.
