Abstract:: In the last two decades，studies on embodied cognition，as a rebellious movement against thetraditional cognitive sciences，have made remarkable achievements. Within this movement，however，there are a lot of problems to be sorted out and examined. Through analyzing its core concepts，hypotheses，experimental evidence and results，we identified three closely connected issues facing the school of embodiedcognition. The first issue is about how to define the core concepts concerning embodied cognition. The secondis that to what extent the embodied cognition is compatible with classical cognition in theoretical views. Thethird is that to what extent various arguments and interpretations of embodied cognition are valid. Futureresearches have to handle the challenges above，since it may determine whether or not embodied cognition iseligible to replace the classical cognition as a new paradigm in cognitive sciences.
