Title:: Correctly Understanding and Handling ClassStruggle during Socialist Period

Abstract:: During the period of socialism, the class struggle still exists in a certain range. We should correctly deal with the class struggle in such a way proposed by General Secretary Xi Jinping as to uphold the Marxist political stance. The Marxist political stance, first of all, is a class position. Since the reform and opening up, our party’s understanding of this issue has always been clear. The theory of class struggle is one of the basic theories of Marxism. The class struggle in socialist societies is a reality which should neither be belittled nor be exaggerated. Practice has proved that either of belittling or exaggerating the class struggle will result in grave mistakes. Due to the fact that the current form of class struggle is the legacy of the class struggle in history, class analysis should be done through paying close attention to the particularities of each case. While keeping a watchful eye on the sabotage inflicted by those hostile to socialism in the political, economic, ideological and cultural sectors, we should correctly recognize the presence of a large number of social contradictions in our country which should be distinguished from the class struggle and thus handled in a different way.
