- Since the 18th National Party Congress, centering on how to foster and promote core socialist values, Xi Jinping has elaborated the intrinsic relation between the fine traditional Chinese culture and the core socialist values. He emphasizes that the cultivation and promotion of core socialist values should be based on the fine traditional Chinese culture, which can provide essential nutrients and major resources for the development of core socialist values. As an embodiment of the essence of socialism, the core socialist values should be the focus for the construction of contemporary Chinese soft power.
