Abstract:
To coordinate urban and rural education development has been not only an important subject of China’s education development at the current stage but also an important direction of our education development policies in the future. Since the turn of the new century, the formulation and implementation of the policies for China’s urban and rural education development have shown distinctive features and characteristics. Basically, we have already had a clear policy thinking and focus to develop the urban and rural education in a coordinated way. The practice of education development has been manifesting the efficacy and role of urban and rural education development policies. While acknowledging the effectiveness of the policies, we should also recognize that there are also various confusions and problems in the implementation of urban and rural education development policies. To keep advancing the coordinated development of urban and rural education, we need to promote the effective implementation of our policies and carry out reforms and innovations in our education policy.
