Abstract:
Since the last decade of the 20th century, consciousness has become a favorite topic of scientific research again and constituted the highlight of the multidisciplinary research of consciousness. Against this background, neuro-psychoanalysts have also devoted themselves to this subject and put forward a unique theory of consciousness in re-interpreting Freud’s theory. Solms argues that consciousness works like a sensory organ inside perception, the content of which is the material of the feeling, the memory and the internal evaluation of emotion. The process of consciousness is equivalent to the process of sensation, perception, thought and emotion. On the basis of sensory qualia, Panksepp further proposes the concept of equalia, emphasizing the role of emotions in consciousness. Damasio integrates two research tendencies of the content and status of consciousness, and divides consciousness into core consciousness and expanding consciousness.
