抗战时期中国共产党和八路军的宣传工作曾和游击战术一道发挥过至关重要的历史性作用。而侵略华北的日军对其做何观察、有过怎样的认知、受过怎样的影响,则是值得进一步关注的课题。在战争爆发初期,日方一直企图通过武力来迫使中方屈服,因此对八路军采取了轻视的态度,对中方的宣传工作几乎没有感知。然而从1938年下半年起,此种情况开始发生转变,甚至由此促使华北日军采取了相应的对策。但即便如此,由于日方在其全军范围内始终未能形成高度的重视,陷入武力征服的妄想中无法自拔,最终在“思想的战斗”中败下阵来,并走向了失败的结局。

During the War of Resistance against Japanese Invasion, the publicity efforts of the Communist Party of China and the Eighth Route Army played a crucial historical role alongside guerrilla tactics. The Japanese army's observations, perceptions, and the influence of these efforts in occupied North China are issues worthy of further investigation. In the early stages of the war, the Japanese forces attempted to force Chinese surrender through military power, leading to a dismissive attitude toward the Eighth Route Army and little awareness of Chinese publicity efforts. However, from the latter half of 1938 onwards, this began to change, prompting the Japanese forces in North China to adopt corresponding countermeasures. Despite this shift, the Japanese military failed to give sufficient attention to propaganda across their forces, remaining trapped in their illusion of military conquest, and ultimately lost in the “battle of ideas”, leading to their eventual failure.
